1975 Artist’s Soap Box Derby in San Francisco

I was emailing with my brother about making stuff and was reminded about the Artist’s Soap Box Derby that happened in San Francisco in 1975.  It’s a great film, and thankfully it’s available online.  I’m pretty sure I can spot a young Mike Cooper unloading a laminated bent wood racer.  Ron Covell was part of the advanced sculpture class that helped construct Don Potts’ missile.  Imagine going downhill at 20 or 30 miles per hout without steering or brakes?
